sean Posted November 11, 2017 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Hi all Just fitted new fuel pump as car was only cranking not starting!assumed pump needed replacing as it was old! not sure if I fitted it correctly as before with the old pump when I used easy start it would start for a second now it will not even do that!!Any help with assembly would be greatly appreciated so that I can make sure this pump is fitted properly Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
andyc Posted November 11, 2017 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Disconnect the HT lead to the coil so the engine will not fire and make sure you do not get any spark. Take the pipe off the carb and feed it into a an empty fuel can and crank the engine. If you get fuel into the can you know everything up to the pump is OK.
