Anyone going to the Surrey Street Rodders Wheels Day?

If you're not aware of it it's one of the largest Rod & Custom car shows down south and is on Good Friday bank holiday.

Details here: http://www.surreystreetrodders.co.uk/wheels.htm

I'll be going in convoy from the Brighton area, if anyone wans to join drop me a line..

On board so far: an MGC, 2 Midgets, 2 Capris, a sex-bomb Mk3 Cortina, a pink Beetle & an old Rolls Royce (pretty weird convoy!) plus whatever I go in (most likely my Mk2 Granny, unless it's a nice enough day to get my Escort out - my blown Manta is about 2million decades away from completion :( )

Hopefully some of you will put me to shame and make sure the Opel world is represented.

HC.

been going to this event for the last few years, always a good day out. However, last year was the first i was able to take the Manta and despite getting there nice and early i got directed to the public car park, very dissapointing after spending half a day polishing

never mind, i will try again this year!

Mentalmanta - lol

Thanks for the offer Sean, very much appreciated & will be taken up at some point!

Unfortunately I was handed a redundancy "At Risk" letter recently so all spending is on hold until I know what's going on there :(

Will check with the rest of the convoy re. meeting point, but if ur coming down the A24 & we're all going along the A27 maybe where the two meet would be a good plan?

Hi Mike - be good to meet you there mate. What time would you say from your experience is "too late" to get on the show ground?

Where are all the other locals? <_< Come on lads!!

Parkesie - you caught me just as i was leaving!

good show despite the rain, i was there from about 9.30-12 and cars were still arriving then!! great turnout easily equal to what it would have been on a dry day i reckon.

couple of thousand cars there though... and i end up parking next to a bloody Capri

Still a great day, despite the sh1t English weather - awesome turn-out of cars too

I pussed out of taking the roofless Mk2 & was put firmly to shame by a whole load of open-top rods!

Nice pics parkesie dude :)

That Cav on white walls was at the Goodwood brekie club the other week too, looks bloody marvelous!

Also that 9lr blown Mk2 (p3) OMG! Mental!

What is the car on p.19 image CIMG1429 - holy hell do I want one of those!!

Is it the same as the car that was on the TV show 'Monster Garage'? The team that did it was Darryl Starbird, Billie Gibbons & Jessie James. I saw the car at Starbird's museum nr Oklahoma, can't seem to find the pics
