I came to New Zealand 10 yrs ago from Durban South Africa and brought my flame red Opel Manta with me . I bought her new from Kempsters in Durban on 20th Feb 1976 being one of the last Manta,s in stock . I bought my A from a guy who had it about as long as you have had yours but I am glad he decided to sell. Mines a Citrus Yellow 1.9 SR and I am over the moon. What is yours, didnt South Affrica get some diferent models to us. I have read about the 1.6 Rallye with twin carbs as standard.
