spiney_norman
I have heard of people using the Carlton 'boxes, but I'm not sure which ones. As for the sump I think it's a case of making your own if you can't find an 1800 Manta one. Hope that helps!
yellowhusaberg
i think 1.8/2.0 ohc carlton engines use the same basic block as the 1.8 manta so gearbox should fit i think?think it would have to be the mk2 carlton you will need.i think the yukspeed exhaust guy does steel sumps for the red top conversions. Mlocke666
Look at the links in the bottom of MLOCKE666's signature http://forums.mantaclub.org/index.php?showtopic=22199 Ye I did a bit of a guide to fitting it a few years ago; not covered everything 100% but gives you a good idea. As for the gearbox Ive just purchased an omega box for my LET engine, the XE and LET are pretty much the same engine btw just different pistons and some other small differences, the only reason Im not using a 1.8 box is the extra power the LET produces. So any V engined omega box will fit but you'll need to get a prop made, Im not sure on the rear mount yet as Ive not put it in the car but guaranteed they'll need modding and I believe the speedo drive is electric - something else to overcome.
