welder Posted May 9, 2009 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Check you haven't got any leaks in the pipe from airbox to plenum. They can split and cause what you desgribe. Also check the inlet/exhaust manifolds haven't worked loose and that the gaskets ok. Throttle body could also need cleaning out. I'm assuming the plugs etc are ok. dynamytedan Posted May 10, 2009 Share Posted May 10, 2009 have a look at the air flow meter flap , i think it can get stuck , which would give you the symptoms you describe . it may be a bit gunked up and occasionly sticks in one postition , clean it out with carb cleaner .
