ray70
Hi, I have An A series Manta sr 1900, can anyone tell me where you should put the breather pipe from the rocker box to the original air filter when you have removed the original filter and replaced it with a K&N type air filter that does'nt have any where to fit a breather pipe? Thanks Ray.
rutts
how about a nice alloy oil catch tank on the inner wing.
Rick-Manta
Although there are a few things K&N can supply to fit breathers either under or to the side of the filter, the way the 1.9 Zenith/Solex K&N fits (ie there's no baseplate), you can't fit any of them. What most do is fit a breather adaptor with is like a mini air filter which will let the rocker fumes breathe but not spray the oily gak out all over the rocker cover. Or as Rutts suggests a catch tank can bling up the engine bay a bit more, you'd find universal breather adaptors and catch tanks on ebay or in motorist centres, quite cheap and some look pretty smart.
