bettyswallox
I thought that initially Gary ... but the running at normal with the stat out makes me wonder Hhhmmmmm Maybe its a higher rated thermostate .. and not opening at 87 C'... " Just a little tip " Whenever fitting a new thermostate I always drill a hole in the flange . This allows a small flow of warmed water around the wax filled valve and assists in opening and helps to guard against air-locks in the cooling system ... Hope this helps ...
