MickB
Hi, I think that a previous owner has sprayed both the front and rear original chrome bumpers in a matt black paint. Can I remove the paint and take it back to the chrome? Any good products for doing this? Will the chrome still be there as such or would they need rechroming? Has anyone done this? Replacement chrome bumpers are not cheap it seems. Any thoughts appreciated. Many thanks Mick
Shug
You could try wiping with acetone. Anything stronger might damage/stain the chrome (assuming its still good under the paint)
IanMc
Hi Mick, Assuming the bumpers are off the car, would a pressure washer on 'needle jet' be able to blast it off. Thought maybe once you have lifted a bit, the water would keep getting under the paints flaky edge. Just an idea. Ian
