Superfly
Hi, anyone had an issue with brake where they are very switch-like.They are super sensitive and have no feel. The lightest of touches and they almost lockup.I thought it was the brake compensator valve so replaced it but it's still the same. It a 87 exclusive, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
cam.in.head
i had a similar problem once which after lots of checking turned out to be the BONDED BRAKE LINING on the rear shoes which was coming adrift.when you started to brake the rears locked up quickly. this may not be your problem but prob worth a look. you could also try with servo unplugged to check servo. & also by clamping front brakes & rears off seperately. also worth checking for correct pedal free play which should be approx 6mm with servo empty . keith1200
Had a similar thing on a Datsun 120Y! its fecking scary. If you slam the brakes on, the rear will go 'sideways'and you'll lose control. I'd get it sorted ASAP. (might be a sticky shoe) New rear shoes (about 10 spot). I don't noramlly 'risk it' when it comes to brakes sooo I would 'check the lot' just to be safe.
