As there isn't really a General Discussion page other than in the Members area, thought this might be of interest to those who have Manta's and those who are thinking of getting one!

The August edition of Classic Car Mart (available from all good newsagents!!), has a feature on the Manta against Capri. Maybe someone has already pointed this out on here, so apologies if they did, I must have missed it. Features the club's secretarys' car I understand?

Anyway, it's a good article and the Manta comes out on top in their opinion, always nice to here. Although doesn't seem a fair fight when you see the 2 cars featured in my view. Enjoy.

Cheers,

Dave

Yeah read it at WH.Smiths as I'm on a cost cutting exercise :thumbup nice article though. Manta did come out on top but it will always be a matter of opinion.

I also had a copy of Penthouse stuffed in between the car mag centrefold :thumbup That leaves nothing to the imagination :o

Both lovely cars in everyway. I 'don't want to debate this fact :thumbup

Manta is more attractive, super photo's of the Manta. Thanks John for raising the profile of the Opel Manta to the next Generation.

Yes, nice photo's. I liked the article in the mag too. Nice to see both cars still standing the test of time I thought.

John, the cars looks great. Well done for getting it featured.

I've joined a local classic club called 'Essex Classics', and it's nearly all Capri's (well it is Essex), so will enjoy letting them read this article!!

Thanks for all the positive comments on this thread and the thread within the projects section. :thumbup

Seeing the car in the mag and having all the pictures from the photo shoot make it all worth while.

Long live the Manta............
