bilsport
Hi, I've got a manta a automatic prop here.It measures 598mm between the centres of the uj's. The splined end fits the gte getrag box. The uj's seem to be in good condition. There is some surface rusting but it is only cosmetic. regards, Will

mantadoc
Doesn't the chevette prop bolt onto the axle on a flat surface with four bolts into the threaded axle flange, whereas the Mantas have the bearing knuckle exposed and is not flat, won't fit and is held on by two U bolts? rust4life
Am hoping to use the Manta back axle aswell so shd fit together ok? Have been told that the auto prop will fit between the manta gearbox and axle when put in a chevette as it is shorter than standard manta manual prop. If time is an issue might be as well go go to reco-prop or someone like that for a shortening and have new UJs at same time
rust4life
Yes, may well do that - haven't yet had time to start fitting the engine, 'box and back axle yet so was jst thinking that it would be handy to have a complete 'kit of parts' ready for when it all starts to go together in the next few weeks but not too time critical as it can be one of the last bits fitted .
