hotrod
Hi quick question is the braking system the same on the Opel manta A series as it is on the GTE C series, or very simular. Would I be able to make them fit my A series. Also would the bottom ball joint on the C or B series fit an A too? Thanks
mantaray
Yes the brakeing systems are basicly the same, but the front callipers from the C will not fit. the ones from the B will. Bottom ball joints are different sizes.
611
volovo 4 pots front with carlton discs should go straight on an A, and for back sierra 4x4 calipers and bmw 318i discs here's a pic www.theopelproject.com Andy
opel2000
Rear brakes on the pre-facelift B series Manta were manual adjust shoes, later post facelift B's (or the C's as I prefer) were manual adjust shoes behind the drums, was told by someone that the Manual adjust backplates can be converted to Auto adjust, but never really bothered to look into it as whatever I had fitted I just made sure worked as it should. Would assume therefore that the C rears will not be a straight swap but the B's would be.
