matt24680
hi guys doing some floorpan patching work and was wandering whats the best size of sheet steel to use? was going to use 2mm but seems a bit heavy and hard to cut? am i right in saying the original floorpan is about 1.5MM? but maybe 2mm would be easier to weld ? Thanks for the help:)

upk
0.91 mm http://academic.evergreen.edu/projects/biophysics/technotes/fabric/sheet_metal.htm Have fun!
mantasrme
I normally use 20gauge 0.9mm and 18gauge 1.2mm for welding work. The 20g is far easier to shape where needed and the 18g for strength
