garymanc Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 been trying to start this today changed the starter motor and its stii dead as a dodo , all the earths looked ok and i added another one direct from the battery when trying to start it. will this be ignition switch ? Sutty2006 Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 That could be your problem. If a battery has lost it's ampage but holds its volts you will get no cranking power. mantadoc Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Do not bridge the battery live on the starter to the starter solenoid spade terminal that the wire normally goes on to test it, and also do not put a female spade terminal on a length of wire to aforementioned terminal and via a push switch or similar to battery to enable you to test / eliminate it being the wiring or starter.
