Autocrosser
I've had the chance of a full E reg coupe for a parts car but I'd need to sell some of the bits I don't need for the guy first as he's not an OMOC member so here goes. Complete back axle with Quaife ATB diff £600 Complete GTE engine and box £300 (can be heard running) Safety devices 6 point bolt in cage £100 Front and back yellow Bilstiens, uprated road rally springs, Volvo 4 pot conversion £offers Really I need a buyer for the back axle before I can afford to buy the car so I said I'd advertise the bits on here. Why can't any of my deals be straight forward! Edited June 17, 2013 by Autocrosser
Manta again
Hi Craig is the cage a road one or suitable for competition, very tempting if only I could decide on A or C series manta. Can't remember is the quaife a plate diff or not as maybe interested. Edited June 17, 2013 by Manta again
Autocrosser
Sorry the cage is sold subject to postal quote and the rest of the deal going through. The diff is a gear ATB from Quaife (£700ish) built into a manta C axle with I think a std 3.44:1 ratio. If someone was thinking of building a track/ competition car then this and a lot of the other parts would be a good start.
Manta again
What condition is the diff in?
Autocrosser
It's not had a great deal of use since it was installed the car was used for classic rallying and the odd autotest. It can be tried before buying at the moment as the car runs and drives
Manta again
I'm no expert on diffs, if I removed it from the casing I take it will need to be set up again in the A series casing?
Autocrosser
I'm no expert either but if it was removed and put in another axle it would need set up again. Unless you put the whole axle in for wide track. If you just wanted the diff I could remove it and post it but the whole axle would be a pain to post
Manta again
Its tempting. But as you say don't need case, just wondering that buying the axle before getting a car might be a bit like putting the cart in front of the horse. More flippin decisions.lol
Autocrosser
It's up to you Richard I can't see it hanging around for too long as its a fair saving on buying a new unit and getting it installed
mantasrme
Just a note about the Diff, if it has a 3.44 CWP on it you can't fit a 3.7 or lower as they are different thicknesses and the flange is in a different place on the diff. So worth checking that.
Autocrosser
I only listed the diff ratio from memory it will be whatever came standard in an E reg GTE coupe.

Autocrosser
Axle and diff now provisionally sold but buyer can't collect and pay for it for 2 weeks as he works offshore. I'll be in touch with the members who have reserved the cage/springs/shocks after he collects the axle. Engine and box and front brakes still available.
