Jack
Whilst looking on Ebay at the Manta's that are currently for sale I found this White Manta: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Manta-/321463384612?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4ad8b5fa24 It has no reserve and the starting price is £600.00, here is the description: 1986 Opel Manta GT/E..M.O.T November 2014..Tax end of July 2014 (this month). Reg Plate C51 URP will come with car Very recent clutch 2 rear sections of exhaust almost new. needs adjustment to stop it rattling Daily driver up until a few weeks ago Decent tyres + 3 spare alloys if you want them (white, as on car) 2 brand new headlight units in past year. No headlight wipers Heater blower works 2 wings and a front panel in past couple of years (fit is a bit off, picture with £1 coin to illustrate) Has been welded in all the usual manta places at one point or another. Had a "blow over" type re-spray a few years ago. it doesn't hide anything now. you can see sunroof bubbling and rear arch repair panels bubbling through where welded. Rev counter doesn't work, oil pressure switch is wonky, temp gauge is wonky and high beam blue light indicator doesn't come on. Original tape player in place but no aerial and has a cassette stuck in it (artist unknown) Interior quite good Strongly advise viewing this car before bidding. If you bid but do not view, consider it sold as seen If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I'll be more than happy to send more info or pics on request. All paperwork correct and present. This car could be driven away
Scribe of Lincoln
Cheap, but I suspect there is enough here to keep the Chief Welder going for several months.......
Jack
Your definately right on that one, don't think this Manta is the one I need for regular use!
CRAZYDAVE
Good honest advert the fit of the wing worries me though. I broke a Manta years ago with a wing gap like that and it turns out it was twisted and the trans tunnel was bent from an old accident! Jack
Sounds like a fairly big problem that Dave about the accident damage, I saw an accident damaged Manta on another Car Club field and it wasn't nice. The bonnet and the bumper were different shades of red so the poor Car had an accident at some point.
Scribe of Lincoln
Different shades of Red is normal for a Manta. My GTE hatch was 7 different shades of Carmine Red when I bought it........
