D85CGV
Hello all. I've never had to tow my Manta before but I will be moving it round to my lock up soon. I've noticed there is a a towing eye away down at the frame the steering rack sits on. Not really ideal since I'm using a straight bar. I've removed the front bumper and there is some frame work I could attach the bar to. I just wondered if anyone on here had any experience with towing their manta. I'd like to know the best way so I don't cause any damage. Cheers Davy
Kevin Abbott
Done loads in different ways. Straight bar to towing point on cross member. Bumper needs to be off or use a cranked bar to go under bumper A frame onto lower arms works very well too.
D85CGV
Thanks @Kevin Abbott my straight bar isn't that long. Also it's going on to the tow bar of a sprinter van. Was a bit concerned that the incline up from the car to the van was a bit much. Possibly even damage the radiator.
MicsManta
how far are you going. I know its not exactly legal but a rope with a experienced driver still works fine on the manta.
D85CGV
Literally just round the corner. Are ropes not legal anymore. I have no probs towing a motor with a rope when the tow eye is on the front. Problem is it's not going to be me that's driving the van. That's when i start having trust issues lol.
