penyghent
Hi Can anyone tell me what this is used for please ,stripped the car years ago and cant remember. Its the rear nearside wheel arch of an A series. Cheers
Mike.
If it’s the bracket spot welded on to your inner wheel arch then it’s possibly an anchor point for seatbelts if you wanted to fit them, if not usually there will be a plastic blanking plug pushed in to seal the threads and keep water from getting inside your car. Got this on my Manta b and it came without rear seatbelts from factory, but can retrofit if needed.

Mike.
It’s also a common place for rust, i had to drill out the spot welds, repair the inner wing with a new steel patch then reinstated the bracket just to keep originality, the car never had rear seatbelts and I don’t intend to fit them but the bracket I wanted to keep. 👍 Edited February 3, 2019 by Mike.
