Suzy Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Guy's I am now welding the manta back together, I need to treat the metal on the front wheel arch that holds the door before I repanel over the top. vauxsenb Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 For what its worth I painted mine firstly with Bilt Hamber's Hydrate 80 then a couple of good coats of red oxide (or zinc rich primer), a flash coat of body colour then a good couple of coats of you fav underseal. gunman Posted April 5, 2009 Share Posted April 5, 2009 be careful with jenolite, if its not cleaned off properly is causes paint not to stick right. There is no substitute for removing rust. i dont mean chop it out but I used a wire cup brush and a grinder to remove. I used jenolite as well once it was removed just to make sure.
