spiney_norman Posted June 18, 2009 Share Posted June 18, 2009 As far as bolting it onto the engine goes, the 5 speed box is a straight swap. The only thing you'll have to do it cut out the top of the gearbox tunnel from your Cav and replace with a section from a 5 speed Manta as the hole in your tunnel for the 4 speed gearlever is a few inches further forward than the hole for the 5 speed lever needs to be. MANTAMAN Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 It is possible to shorten the linkage on the back of the 5 Speed gearbox so as the gear lever lines with the original four speed gear lever hole in the transmition tunnel.
