opelscott22
Can anyone tell me if you can use the later pot type flywheel assy with a getrag box? It would save me looking for a flat flywheel and pressure plate! Thanks in advance, Scott
mickappy
yes as long as u use the c20let clutch plate:) or simlar plate with same teeth as spline:)
opelscott22
I thought Id have to use the 1800 manta clutch plate as the splines will match the input shaft? Scott
stradacab
But the centre plate is smaller
mickappy
use the c20let plate as it luckily shares the same spline, 1800 plate is way too small and will slip. i know this as ive made that mistake.
opelscott22
Thanks very much! I didnt realise the LET clutch was a different spline to the XE. Bloody revelation! Now, my next problem is where can I get a clutch plate without having to buy a kit? Scott
rutts
mick is right, if you have the pot type flywheel just buy the let clutch, ask kev abbott he can get them cheap most times of asking. you may as well buy the plate and cover so you know its right before fitting.
