vauxsenb
Well done for finding the OMOC Sharpie, Lots of Cavvy owners on here, you'll be made to feel welcome in here and worth becoming a paid-up member. What makes you think your cam is dying kiddo ??? also it wouldn't do any harm to put your location up, its a popular bugbear of the folks on here constantly having to ask whereabouts you are in the country. All the best, Colin.

manta400john
A visual examination of the cam would give you a fair idea of it's condition. Compression test would highlight valve/piston ring problems. What about carburation?? John.

Julian
Put the Varijet on ebay, or better still in the bin, and the Webber on your motor, that's what I did when I was having those problems, and don't make it a job for the future, do it as soon as poss. Julian. a rover p6 is my other favourite car, were my symptons the same as yours then? not ready to fit the webber i dont think its quite complete and i need some photos and maybe a linkage to figure it out. i think i will end up taking my cav off the road to sort it if i can find a lock-up near by and just buy a cheap banger.
