kerplunk
Hey, Just sent my car off to get some bit and pieces sorted out and an MOT after being off the road and tinkered with for the last 10 months, and I just thought I'd stick a photo up of it. Next year I'm gonna send it off for a proper bare metal respray, but until then I just gave it a quick spray job. Was hoping to get it on the road for the end of summer, but that didnt happen. Its got an 2.0 GTE engine which I recovered from a completely rotten Manta in a field, but after endless troubles with the fuel injection I'm ditching it and going to carbs for now. If any of you manta drivers see me about give a flash, it's quite lonely driving ascona a's! Ta, Lee.

kerplunk
Where are you like? Side repeaters, beefy bumpers, different rear lights... USA? There really ain't enough of these cars around anymore, I reckon most of them have been ploughed into trees in rallys.

I think most were crushed as undesirable autos durning the last 25 years here in the States. U.S standard for the 1974-1975 model years was that all autos sold here had to have 5mph bumpers and side marker lights. The 1975 Opels sold here in the States all had the Bosch L Jetronic fuel injection too. We only got 4 door Asconas (known as 1900's here) one year, I think 1973. I bought my son a 1974 Opel Manta so he may be the only one flashing me when we pass around here. George.

At least it went out in a Blaze of Glory doing what it does best and not simply crushed as discarded trash. George.
