platman
could anyone tell me where i could get a new speedometer cable for a 1987 gte. should i try oil or grease on the old one first, but if i need to take the instrument panel off then maybe i should just replace it anyway. mantadoc
If the needle is bouncing then you probably have at least one strand broken off, usually visible at either end by the moulded. Basically on it's way out. If it's doing something else that's a whole different can of worms.

mantadoc
Can't remember if the auto is too short for the manual or manual too short for the auto. Ends are the same regardless.
