4speed
Like told in my presentation I own a restored Opel Manta A – 1900L I've restored this car last year, and I'll share with you guys the hole process. Hope you enjoy! I'm disassembling all the interiors and some exterior parts to send it to the body shop and painting. There are some rusty parts but nothing really important so now, only superficial things. I've decided to dismantle and classify my self the entire interior parts to save some tim€ at the body shop, and because it's easier to me to control and avoid missing parts. The worst thing so now was the right door rubber. I took all the necessary measures to take out right. The seats plastic guides are also broken and need to replace... Meanwile, already at the body shop we took out all the lights, windows, bumpers and most of the trims. mantaray
that looks like a Dutch number plate, did the car come from Holland? Nice work, it will be worth it in the end.
4speed
that looks like a Dutch number plate, did the car come from Holland? Nice work, it will be worth it in the end. The car is 100% Portuguese. The number plates here in Portugal are really similar to the Dutch ones. In Portugal we used the letters on the left side of the number plate. In the number Dutch plate the letter are in the center. Tree days after I left the car at the body shop, it was already like this So far there are no bad surprises at the hidden body parts … for a 36 years old car its in very good shape. The right side was surprisely better then we thought the outer sill was only rusted at the ending points. Since I had a new reproduction part we replaced it. Irmscher Man
Looking like a nice job! Getting all those small components zinc treated is a really nice touch - it will look great when you are done. From all those pictures of your car having the new sill put on and the A post repaired, I thought I was back in Chris's garage again! Good luck - hope it all goes well.
