GMC
Just completed the rebuild of a C20XE, hope to fit it into my manta in the coming weeks. As part of the rebuild, I've fitted a side mount distributor, and that leads me to my question; I offered the cam cover onto the head tonight, but it fouls on the back of the side mount dizzy bracket. Looking at it, this problem can be rectified in one of two ways, either cut back the protruding lip off the cam cover or machine the back of the side mount dizzy bracket. Either one will work, but I'm sure a few manta owners have done this before, so thought I'd ask someone with the experience Thanks
Kevin Abbott
If you have the front mount dizzy bracket and are using a 1800 dizzy and swapped exhaust cam wheel then you will have a hole in your cam cover for the drive belt anyway so i just cut the cover back to suit

What did you do with that?

rutts
dont forget guys when moving dizzy from rear you must plug exhaust cam with a small ball bearing or similar to stop oil pumping out and loosing pressure
