How much should I look to pay for a good kit? Speak to Lepo5, as he has contacts for a good fitting 400 kits, I think they are made from the original mould
monzta
I remember that MC-Rallying had some good kits once, but i think they went bankrupt. I believe that M-99.co.uk deals theese kits today, but i think that their website looks a bit dodgy
mantadoc
RallyTech do 400 kits. Moulds were made recently and copied from an original ripple free kit. However the do require some finishing BUT are the road version of the 400 kit (Not to be confused with the Road Sport kit found on the i240 which is narrower) so the rear arches have a return mounled in so they can be bolted to the car with fixings hidden. mantadoc
RallyTech have been making 400 replica bonnets and Road Sport kits for at least 15 years and many people on here have had their products. Here is a link to one of the threads dealing with the fitting of one of their 400 replica kits. I haven't seen a thread on here dealing with the fitting of the other kits mentioned so cannot compare quality. This is what the google cache has about 400 replica kit fitting from manta400.com but I cannot find the site anymore. Note that this refers to modifying the kit to hide the rear arch fixings which is not necessary with the kit from RallyTech Hope that helps
lepo5
as per the pm message, The kits from martin are made from the ORIGINAL irmscher moulds and are used by a leading vauxhall/opel specialist, who offer a complete restoration, modification & motorsport preparation service for all classic and retro cars, and these guy's are fussy, oh and the number for martin was in the pm message, let me know how you get on And keep well clear of m-99 they are scammers and will take your hard earned cash and will not provide a kit Edited March 2, 2011 by lepo5
manxmanta
My main concern is that the kit i buy will fit well without much messing around. Thanks for all the different contacts. I'll be making a few phone calls and let you know how i get on.
Shuviteer
He also does the lamp pods as well. I've had a kit from him (and loads of other bits !!!), and I have to agree with Lepo5, the fit is excellent with NO modification needed.
