opel2000
I would firstly ask what car it was originally fitted to and what year, and then do some research on the summit Racing Website, by entering the vehicle make, year and engine size, followed by a search for parts. If the parts listings come up as fitting the Range/Land Rover Buick Skylark etc, then there is a good chance things may fit. Ideally for me I'd want a known quantity, such as a Rover V8, or a Chevy Small Block, or a Ford Small block, as I would know parts are available in vast quantities, easy to source in UK and US and would have no problem sourcing that odd little bit of thing that will definately go straying off into oblivion at some point during the build. Always so easy to get sidetracked from your original route by people offering stuff at good prices which can often work out more expensive in time and money as you eventually find yourself going back down your original route, if you know what I mean. Last thing I'll say is,,,, If you already have to ask questions about this engine and people are unsure on giving advice, well that may say it all. Couldn't put it better myself. Best to stick to known/proven routes unless you do want something different. Normally though, different will be more hassle and expense. bones
I know that they did Leyland P76 in Australia in the early 70's which was fitted with the Buick/Rover derived V8 but that was a 4.0 litre engine.
