Mk1 Cavalier Convertible

Recommended Posts

Spotted in Barnstaple last Friday at around 2.30pm. Came from the direction of Rock Park and then headed for the Square. Copper coloured. I was a couple of cars back so couldn't see the reg but looked in good condition from what I could see. Would have loved to gone and followed it when it turned off but had the girlfriend following me in a hire car and she wouldn't have been best pleased if I had!

That is one model that I have never seen, I wonder how many were made and how many are still around.

118 were built, a mix of Mk1 Cav and some mantas, there are only around 10 left that are road legal at the moment though others survive in various states or repair. When I restored mine I gave it a facelift :)

I wish I hadn't posted now, I was really happy with my Cav until I saw those pics  That is a very, very nice looking motor, why do people buy porches when there are cars like that around? Thanks for the pics Robbie :thumbup

One on ebay at the moment needs restored but they are solid cars normally as they were early models with way better metal in them.

Looks tidy enough, wonder what the underside is like.
