stradacab
I think the 2/0 is a straight swap. Someone here should have one knocking around for a few quid.
monzta
I think the 2/0 is a straight swap. Someone here should have one knocking around for a few quid. Almost true The 2,0 is a direct swap. But the exhaust flange on the downpipe to fit the manifold is a different size. So you will need a 2,0 downpipe and flange as well, or weld a 2,0 one on you existing exhaust. Other than that its a direct swap, and should take about half a day to a full day depending on your experience (if its a carbed engine. A Fuel injected one will take more time). I usually remove both engine and gearbox for an engine swap. Takes the same amount of time, and everything can be pulled up out of the car when the hood is removed from the car. This allow you to check up on your cluch and you O ring on the rear of the gearbox. Remember to put a cloth or something into the hole in the rear of the gearbox when you have removed the propshaft otherwise all of your gearbox oil will run out. I strongly recommend doing it like that, as said it gives you a perfect opportunity to check your clutch, gear oil, O rings etc so you are sure everything is in A+ condition when putting it back in. Maybe true on European spec, but when I went from a 1600S to a 2000S on my Cav Sportshatch a few years ago I don't remember the exhaust manifold or downpipe flanges being different. It was a few years ago though so I might be wrong!

So this should be on the "check-up-on" list, and if its not an issue on B series cars please let me know
Brown Job
Not a specific carb tuner, but a few years ago I used a place with rolling road tuning in Black Diamond Street, Chester. They were OK although not wildly interested in non-performance old motors. There was a bloke advertising as "Carburettor Specialist" in Eastham, Wirral. DO NOT use him!
