manta88 Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) I don't think just cutting a coil off will work, as it won't sit in the rubber mounting unless you can bend it and grind if back to the original shape. rutts Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 do it a coil at a time as a coil makes a big difference. i usually put wire from chassis to spring cup so spring cannot fall out when jacking up after wards. or buy shorter shocks koni do shorter ones. 611 Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Cutting off a coil does work as far as lowering but will change the way the spring works and will chew up the rubber top hat. I had some made for mine by these guys. http://www.springcoil.co.uk/suspension_springs.html sent them the ones i had and they made lower ones but adjusted it so the sping was still the same stiffness.
