upk
I have 2.0L 16v ecotech ( x20xev ) with a pot type flywheel. What clutch & pressure plate do I need to mate up to a 1.8 manta box?
rutts
calibra turbo clutch plate is 228mm and fits on 1.8 box cross reference with size of your clutch plate. cover plate will either be turbo cover or your own if same size as turbo clutch plate. could also use an uprated manta GTE clutch plate with your cover. dont forget a spigot bearing, available at vauxhall or PM me i have spare new ones. upk
It's already got the spigot bearing as it came from an omega. Thanks for info, I need friction plate and pressure plate as the original on the engine is dual mass!
blitzi
i used gte flywheel+clutch to the 1.8 box works great
upk
Blitzi, when you say gte flywheel and clutch do you mean gte friction plate? Or did you fit gte flywheel to the ecotech engine??
blitzi
gte full clutch m8 ! Edited April 15, 2013 by blitzi
redmanta xe
you can use a c20let fiction plate which 228 mm by 14 spline you can keep your cover plate but i dont think you can change your fly wheel to the old c20xe flat type flywheel it has 2 more bolts holding the flywheel on the crank xev is the same as 8v crank 2 bolts less im pretty sure of it most people are using omega boxes these days with a custom prop and bearing cylinder mod for the omega and hyd peddle u can machine a pot fly wheel down some it becomes flat again i done it myself just drill the cover plate holes deeper before u start to machine the think step away after you have done all that you will need a gte cover plate c20xe early model and c20let fiction plate and thrust bearing to suit which ever gearbox you use
