Ben_g40
Hi, I need, relatively urgently, a Radiator and both top and bottom radiator hoses. Either new or good used condition. Can travel or arrange courier if needed. Or does anyone know of a readily available radiator that will fit? Thanks Ben - 07875 677050

spiney_norman
Neither of those hoses are any good for a 1.8, nor are the ones with the rad. Get in touch with Retro Power, they do silicone hoses for the XE conversion which might fit your engine?

dog321fish
I paid £102.00 to have a Manta 1.8S Radiator re-cored in Nov 2012. Got to admit it has made a big difference to the cooling and engine stability.
mantasrme
Just a note that new/reconditioned one on e-bay doesn't look to have the side mountings that allow it to fit a manta. So it might be from a mk1 carlton or other early vauxhall. Last one i had re-cored was a bit over £100 and they fitted a boss in the bottom tank to take a radiator switch/sensor Also new cores are much more efficient than the old style ones, think its around 3 times as good at cooling. So if your cooling was marginal before a recored one and electric fan makes a huge difference other another old style one
Ben_g40
Thanks for the help. I picked up a relatively cheap used but very good condition one today. In terms of the electric fans - do they need a fan switch or do people normally wire them into a switch? Thanks for all your help!
