Alf
yes I have a Monza box getrag 265 and the splines are a lot bigger and there are less of them than the manta box I didn't know if there was two different clutches same size plate but different amount of splines Hi, I'm no expert on Monza's but I do know there are two different sets of splines, one has ten the other 22 (I think, been a long time since I played with one!!) I think the ten splined one is from the early Monza and the 22 from later cars, there is also a difference in clutch plate diameters, the GSE has the larger clutch at 240mm, the 3.0E and lesser model Monza's have a smaller one, 233mm I think, again from memory!! The ten spline 240mm clutch plate is really hard to get these days, the smaller one is readily available through Ebay and I believe they all fit the flywheel OK? If it helps, there are certain Volvo 260's which use the same driven plate and also some of the early 'E' Type jaguars, although they charge the earth for those!! I do have a manual Monza I will be breaking later this year if you get stuck but I doubt I'll find the time to start on it until September?? Cheers, Alf.
mikemanta
that would make sense my box came out of a gse , so if I get the 233mm clutch will this fit the gte 240 box?
