Ems
Is it only the bellhousing that's different on the 1.8 and GTE box? How difficult is it to swap the internals over? Thanks
mantadoc
it's a common swap and not hard to do, details in a Haynes manual for Manta, but basically, remove clutch arm, undo the three bolts on the trumpet, there is a circlip that is awkward and the rest is the bolts to split the case. Only done it once 20 years ago so don't take my word for it, read the book
611
There is also a shaft that unbolts on the side on the gte box that usually gets missed as after you have the cir-clip off and the bolts undone you cant work out why it wont come off and its just one little bolt from what i remember. There might help as you can see the bolts on the side and some gearbox diagrams (gte box): http://www.theopelproject.com/?page_id=223 http://www.theopelproject.com/?p=
