bert sim
Hi all, I joined the forum a few weeks ago and have been looking for a Ascona and a mate of mine has told me about a w reg Opel Ascona 2 door not too far away from me, all he can tell me is that it is metallic blue and is a w reg 2 door and it has been laid up for a number of years. I am hoping to see it this weekend but is there any particular area in these cars that i should be looking out for. I'm not too bad with a welder but would not like to take on a full restoration. MB15
Check everywhere for rot mate , Lift carpets , get underneath it and poke about. If its a full restoration job and you're not keen let me know its where abouts , Cheers Kev
GerryC400
I would love to do a 2 door ascona. I would like to join the queue !!!! Nice rare motors. I looked at a 4 door a few weeks ago, it had rotten boot floor ,front wings chassy legs and jacking points, sills all easy enough just needs a fair bit of time. Think I would have a job convincing my wife I need another opel...........
opelnz
How did you go with that Ascona coupe? Was it a basket case? Always good to hear of another Opel may be rescued!

®evo03
So its staying in the barn for someone else to find? You may find this has got the owners brain into gear, to advertise or ebay it, they may want that barn emptied! Go back and put a cheeky bid in!
