biffy1984
Any ideas what to do with this? Would nitromors melt the rubber? Edited June 15, 2016 by biffy1984
TheRealExile
Others on here with much more experience but on the rubber one someone fitted to my old SR which was covered in cellulose paint, I used cellulose thinners and other than some mild 'greying' it didn't look too bad, I know it sounds bonkers but the fireplace grate blacking stuff refreshed it a treat! bris jas
Scrape off what you can then use 180 grit on a da sander carefully then finish off with 320 grit. Few good coats of primer, good as new and ready for top coat of course after flatting primer with dust coat on. Make sure you don't get the discs hot and keep moving the sander. Good luck!
