This looks as good as that last white GTE that was on ebay which sold for over 8k,if anything this one is even better as its got the Daytona check interior and a solid roof.

It does look nice, but as it still needs a bit of TLC, £8K might be a tad ambitious.

The rear spoiler will need to be rubbed down & resprayed, Roof lining needs put in place and the drivers seat needs repairing/replaced. and it needs a set of wheel caps. It's also been resprayed in Glacier white rather than the correct Polar White for a 86MY car.

Not currently MOT'd as far as I can see from the usual sources, and no MOT history, so presumably been off the road for 10 years plus.

1986 Opel Manta GTE on numberplate C855BVF was first registered on Wednesday 2nd of April 1986 near Norwich. This car had 6 previous owners before the current keeper acquired it.

yeah good points there mate,wouldn't take much to put them right though,currently at £4700 with 17 bids and almost 6 days to go.

I can see it going for £6500 upwards,the biggest bugbear with it for the purist that is....is the fact that its be done in the wrong shade of white...but it still has the more desirable daytona check and the equally desirable roof without a gaping hole in it.

Ended this afternoon at £5600 (reserve not met). 

As an aside, I noticed the seller is on the Facebook group looking for a fuel pump relay.

To be fair not a good time of year to sell,i would tuck it away over the winter period..and sort the roof lining and drivers seat.then bring it out in the springtime for sale again

Then it should meet its reserve price,providing its a sensible realistic one that is.

Advertised on the Facebook group now for £9000 ono. As it never reached £6K on Ebay (twice) me thinks he's living in cloud cuckoo land!

Its fair to say he was aiming high with his reserve then..and no doubt inspired by the recent sale of the E Reg GTE  at £8.300

The seller just needs to get them jobs done in order to get that top money...I would still put it away for winter then readvertise it in the springtime.

And by then the market would of shifted again in his favour...and the 9k asking price could be achievable.

Untill then the market has spoken and said its only worth £5600,..i did think it was going to manage a 6k plus figure though.

You might well be spot-on there, and as you say, to get anywhere near to the asking price he really ought to get the things needing sorted, sorted. I wouldn't be pleased forking out that sort of money and having to spend more. We'll wait and see what transpires.
