Austin Handy Posted December 22, 2021 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Hi Chaps, The barrel / lock on the drivers door of my 86 Manta B has fallen out when I was using the key to unlock the door. Has anyone got instructions or video on how to reinstall the barrel back into the lock and reconnect it to the rest of the mechanism please? ®evo03 Posted December 22, 2021 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Remove door card, a clip holds lock in place, its basic enough, you will figure it out, try it all first before refitting door card. cam.in.head Posted December 22, 2021 Share Posted December 22, 2021 just make sure none of the brass 'tumblers' have not fallen out. keep key in barrel when inserting. as said it will be obvious why and how it goes back in, never known one fall out before thou.maybee its been apart in the past and the end clip is a bit weak/ bent. plastic lever will be in bottom of the door somewhere along with the aforemenioned clip.
