ang Posted June 29, 2009 Share Posted June 29, 2009 I should hope both mantas will be attending Blue coupe if the manifold is on and repaired in time........ slight repair needed, long story but the gold manta took priority. Getting there slowly but a gorgeous car to drive with a few minor teething problems and a reassembled supercharger sitting on the side Clutch pedal pin snapped the other day, got to laugh and James burnt his balls when he was welding up the manifold (well that is the car's revenge). Sunday is a good day for us I should think. Gold one returns home anyday soon, looking forward to it. Looking forward to seeing a few more mantas. Roy Posted June 30, 2009 Share Posted June 30, 2009 Nowt, I started it up and it was a bit rough on revving, thought it might be the idle valve again. Took it along the road and its def on 3 cylinders. When you stop it, it wont restart unless you unplug the fuel pump and crank it for a bit then it restarts. I reckon one of the injectors is playing up and maybe staying open? I'll swap back to the 2.4 ones again and see if that cures it.... Phil see if Andy can pick you up if he comes to get the manta? Oh and Phil Mrs Mac remembered you, it gave her a chuckle! If any of you do want to pop up to the workshop next Saturday, 18th July then do pm me and we'll sort it out. Thanks for the invite to the workshop but my workshop week starts the folloeing week - 20th July onwards as I'm off for those weeks. Need to get the fuelling sorted plus fine tuning ready for an MOT which must also be passed in thoses 2 weeks - fingers crossed. Then its the fule tank removal and reseal on the P5 and an MOT for that too! All being well will be able to meet up next time in something old!
