spiney_norman
You know the left hand hinge is meant to be bent to clear the spare wheel right?
taylorblue5
Im assuming its well bent as the bootlid is about 8mm high.
spiney_norman
Ahh, fair enough! If Paul doesn't come up with one I've got one you can have.
paulmanta
It is the rivet that goes through the hinge that normally wears, once they go bad then you can either weld a whole new hinge in or get busy with nuts, bolts and spacers ! I will look in a bit, I am at the yard today.
paulmanta
Hi, no, sorry, the hinges on the coupe here are shot, loads of play in them. I suspect its because it was an exclusive with the big spoiler on the boot, these cars seem to suffer the wear worse than the small spoiler early cars. 399Road
Im assuming its well bent as the bootlid is about 8mm high. I'd heard that they sit high on the left side anyway, due to the Exclusives having stronger bootlid springs to support the heavier spoiler. ... Luke.
