Jack
Hi all, In can't wait for Billing and this is the first time in my life that I will be coming to Billing on my own. This year will be the first year that I will be coming without a Manta. I have always come with my Godfather who used to own an Original Immaculate GT/E Exclusive Coupe in Monaco Blue (as seen in my profile picture). So this means I will be coming in my own Car which shamefully is not a Manta. The reason for this topic is that I want to make the most of seeing the Manta's and since I haven't got a Manta of my own where do I park when I get there? And if I want to camp there (on my own) to make the most of it, how do I go about doing that? If these questions seem too obvious it's because this is my first time on my own and I want to know what I am doing. I hope to meet some owners there and take a lot of pictures of my dream Car! Thanks, Jack.
simon p
Hi Jack, be good to see you there, if you want to camp with us Manta lovers (you don't need to be in a Manta), you'll need to join the club first. Once that's done, there is loads of Billing info the members section.
Jack
Hi Simon, Thanks for the help i'll look into it. When I arrive at Billing and I am a member will I be able to drive and park in the Club field. I don't mean where all the Manta's are been shown I just mean out of the way on the field. Jack. mantaray
Yes as a club member you can camp on the omoc field (you need to be a member for insurance reasons) My manta has not been to billing for 7 years now and is still not on the road so I will not be in a manta rather. Jack
Hi Chris, thanks for the information, hopefully I can find the Club field without too much trouble. I'm a Member now anyway and I will definitely look into camping there so I can make the most of all the Manta's. Jack.
MANTAMAN
Now your a member Jack you can join us on the Manta Field, which is called Puddleduck Field ( all of Billings feilds have a wildfowl type name ) When you first get there you have to sign in at the entrance and you recieve a welcome pack from Billing which has a map in it. Here's a link to the Billing website map, it's a little confusing because north is at the bottom, Puddleduck is under the index - http://www.billingaquadrome.com/Images/upload/Park%20Map/Billing_Map%20FINAL.pdf
Jack
Thanks a lot for that Ian, I will study the map further but I think I have found a Car park for my boring everyday Car unless it's ok to keep in out of the way in the Manta field? I think I have found Puddleduck and it's got orange dotted lines around it. Judging by the map if I drive in the entrance it's basically my first left road and then straight ahead making a slight left that leads up to Puddleduck. I'll be careful not to drive and sink into Willow Lake along the way. Can't wait to see a field full of Manta's, Cheers, Jack.
DiMarco
Hi Jack, It will be my first year here of all time. As long as my Hotrod manta is ready I will be rocking up Saturday and stay till sunday so would be nice to meet a lot of the members from here but I am sure I will get lost once pulling into the entrance . Jack
Hi Nick, I am looking into staying and I looked earlier on the internet for a tent I could buy for occasional events such as Billing. Also I'm interested in the Show and Shine because the last time I went they were still doing the Concourse which was really good as well. But the main thing is that all the Manta's get united together for everyone to appreciate and that's the most important thing. Jack.
kby100
heres a question for you guys , do people sell there cars at billing, im aware of the show , having been a reader of total vauxhall as thay do cover it , but i two hav never been, is it just a show and shine or are there other things going on as it looks like a massive site , if people are selling i might take a wad of cash as im on the look out for a manta . DiMarco
I believe someone or some people might take there manta there to see if they could sell it would be the perfect place to try and sell it.

Hi Jack, you're more than welcome to park with us, no matter what car you have. When you arrive at our field, you'll be asked for your name/membership number, once you're in, you can pitch up anywhere.
Jack
Thanks Simon, I will take my Membership Card with me anyway when I set off to Billing so I can be sure that I have my Membership number. Jack.
