andyc
2.4 Dissy doesn't have anything in it on on it apart from the rotor arm, ECU controls advance and retard as its a 1.5 motronic. Let me know if you want any pics as i'm putting a 2.4 together tomorrow night Cheers Andy

andyc
Well had it running a while back while back before the engine bay was painted, with so many mods i wanted to make sure everything worked first. Car went to paint last Saturday and hoping to get it back by the end of the week, Really must update the build thread Cheers Andy
mantadoc
The FRONTERA 2.4 has no mechanical advance mechanism, it just distributes spark, the motronic 1.5 has a crank sensor etc and controls the timing. It has a larger rotor arm to ensure enough "track" is in the right place across a range of timing. The I240 and other 2.4 CIH use a traditional style bob weight and potentially vacuum advanced dizzy. The right answer depends on what you have, sounds like the OP has a FRONTERA dizzy
