Ems
After soaking in deox, the adjusters (early type manual adjustment) on my Manta B/C are still seized solid and now all the hex heads are worse than ever! Can you change these or do I need to get new backplates? Thanks Edited August 6, 2014 by Ems

Thanks Get the wallet out Emyr, I failed years ago to try and get new snails, nothing doing.I do know of one lad who welded nuts on the end of the wrecked hexigens, don't know what the outcome was. cos changing back plates means pulling the shafts out Hwyl Fawr. Ems
Pulling the half shafts out are no problem, as I've only just put the backplate back on. I'll try welding some nuts on as I can't see new backplates being available for a reasonable price.
opelmantagsi
are the back plates hard to find? I might have a pair of them here, they are in good nick too

I gave two exellent ones away just for the price of the postage last year, you should have told me sooner Mate Hwyl Fawr
Ems
Wasn't planning on fitting drums again. I was going to fit a rear disc conversion using astra discs and calipers, but can't get hold of any bolt on adaptors for it at the moment. opelmantagsi
I did the Audi rear conversion. biggest issue was the hand brake cable
mantadoc
A file is also an easy way to make them hexagonal again but the heat may help free them. If the washer splits under them you are in a world of pain.
