Kevin Abbott
I'm nearly ready to blast the car after I've removed the last of the underseal. I want it completely bare before I blast but these bump stops seems very well stuck in. Can anyone tell me how to remove them without destroying them? mantadoc
Large flat screw driver inserted in the nick either in front or behind and lever / then slide it out. The part you cannot see it a T cross section with the triangle view being the vertical of the T and the "ears" of the T being to the outside and middle of the car inside the rail. IIRC one end of the slot they are in is also Teed to make them easy to fit. Best choose the right end even though invisible. Probably the rear
stradacab
I squirted wd40 and gripped either side with a big set of swan necks and rocked them out. Didn't do damage, they are pretty sturdy
paulmanta
Pretty much how I do it, I do warm them up a bit first though, not hot just warm them with a heat gun n low to make them supple.
Kevin Abbott
Result. Tried the screwdriver and it didn't want to come out without ripping. The water pump pliers and wiggle did the trick :-) Thanks for the help everyone. Just what being in the club is all about
