plumster
Hi folks, my fanbelt has a bit too much play but the alternator is at the end of the bracket groove. Searched the old Haynes manual but I can't find the length a replacement should be. its a 1.6, not sure if there is a difference but any assistance greatly appreciated. Jessopia74
You should be able to measure the length of your current one by going from Pulley center to center, use https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/MEASURE-A-BELT--22-a But I think they will have put the 1.8s belt on that is a bit longer than the CIH belt. (900 v 975mm)

plumster
Well... 935 is too long, I got a 900mm from local accessories shop & that does the job.
