Ride height

Does anyone know if there's a definitive way to check ride height, e.g. vertical distance from hub centre to top of arch, and if so what are standard figures?

Mine looks high, especially at the front, but I know for certain the springs haven't been changed in the last 32 years so if they were, it must have been in the first 12 years of its life.

Cheers!

Issue is really, that STD height woukd be none GTE. GTE from factory was lower, slightly firmer, different stub axle hole position for steering rack and thicker ARB. And all measurements would be more likely wheel to arch gap on std rim/tyres.
Might be worth taking a picture from the side so it can be compared to older photos.

I was parked up next to a Manta GT at a car show recently, I have a GTE.

The difference in height was really noticeable, the GT being considerably higher, to my understanding both cars are on original standard springs.

I have just measured my GTE height on a level garage floor,

Front sits at 595mm  measured up through centre of alloy to underside of front wing,

Rear sits 610mm again measured from floor through centre of alloy to underside of rear quarter,

I presume my front has settled over the years with the weight of the engine, rears carry very little weight,

i’m very happy with how the Manta sits on the road, to me she looks right,

hope this helps,

That's a good call. Looking at the images here I'm not sure mine is much higher. I'll try to take some pictures and measurements tomorrow, thunderstorms permitting!
