Some photos of the club stand at the show last weekend. Thanks to all who came along and said hello, bought some merch and a special thanks to the 3 folks that brought cars along. This year we were celebrating the Manta CC.

It had been mentioned a few times over the last year that the club is biased towards Coupes and 400 replicas. To show the Manta hatch off and promote the love for this model, we had a Manta 1.8 GT hatch, a 1.8 Berlinetta Hatch and a GTE hatch. We did try to get a Manta B hatch too, but they are getting quite scarce now. We know of one locally but were unsuccessful in persuading the new owner to bring it out!

I hope you agree we did the Manta Hatch proud this year.

Yep, agree, nice to see hatch getting the lime light, sold better in UK when new. Great multipurpose vehicle, and bench seat folds flat.

What's the biggest item you transported in a hatch 🤣

My son bought a classic fender bass cab from Coventry a few years back, I think it was 8x 10” subs so filled the back nicely and made for a great day out too as we’re at least 3 hours away.

I’ve used old blankets with a yellow hippo bag on top to protect the interior and done quite a number of tip trips with all manner of things

Used it to drop our old dishwasher at the tip the other day and had a bit of interest in the car. Collected the replacement last week, the couple who were refurbishing their kitchen with built-in appliances so selling theirs were quite intrigued and somewhat surprised as we lifted their immaculate one onto a blanket in the back of the beast with it fitting fine and the hatch shut

Practical yet fun, I’ve really enjoyed owning it 😎 😂

When I was using the Manta Hatch as my daily, I used it as my gig transport every weekend. It swallowed up 2x500 watt Yamaha cabs with a 6 channel amp, a Roland D20 and a Korg T3, (which was a big unit), 2 stands, a large case of cables, my 4U gator case of effects and a mixer and my Ovation 6 string guitar. On occasions I would also carry some lights, a rack stand and a smoke machine around too. It all went in the hatch. When I changed cars, I had to buy a frontera to get it all in!
