Snowy
You will need: Gearbox and mount - 5 speed from a GTE manual. Flywheel - from 2.0L GTE manual. GTE clutch. Spigot bearing - dont think the autos have one installed?? Check the end of your crank when stripping it down. Clutch cable to suit gearbox - later 5 speed cable. 1800 and 2.0L GTE use the same cable. Pedal box for clutch pedal - Any manual b series manta or mk1 cavalier. GTE manual propshaft - not sure if auto is the same?? 5 speed manual centre console. Probably missed a few items but i'm sure someone will come on to fill in the blanks...... Ian
You can use a 4 speed console as opposed to the 5 speed. Weld up the "Auto" hole and offer up the console, align the mounting holes and measure 34cm from rear of the console to the rear cross member( theres a hole right in the middle). Mark out and cut the tunnel then you can shorten the shift on a 5 speed and it goes straight in. Just an option.
