cam.in.head
after reading from a member about his problems with water in his bellhousing has he uncovered a major mod we could all fit to our cars or would it not work.. a system of pumping air into your chassis or sills etc from a low volume pump to provide an airflow through these areas..this like it does in an house would stop condensation.. hmmm .got me thinking now. cheers mr suzuki ! Retro Power
air will be flowing through it anyway. the reason for rot is the double skinned areas, plus no paint in there
Christ
and doesn't air promote rust anyway if you're going to install such a system best off pumping rust proofing stuff in there instead of air

Rig up another pump................ one with waxoyl Or save up till you have 30 litres of old engine oil, put duck tape over the sill drain holes. Gutter under sills back to tub and fill your sills with oil then let it drainz out by pulling the tape off the holes
cam.in.head
when i fitted new sills many years back i covered all the drain holes & then bought a few big tins of paint & filled the sills up via the seatbelt holes i think. then unbunged the drains & caught the paint. i remember it took about 2 days to drain out but i knew everything was well painted up in there ! intend to do the same with chassis after ive replaced any previous repairs to a much higher standard & maybee filled up with deox for a week or so. .just thought the airflow idea seemed a good idea. also feeding the crank vent would be a good idea except makes the car a bit smelly to follow ! prob illegal anyway.. may just deox & rinse... paint & drain... oil & drain.. maybee repeating oil every couple of years or so.
